Vision

Oxford Preparatory Academy’s (Oxford Prep) vision is to create a center for higher learning where students from transitional kindergarten to eighth grade are prepared to pursue university level academic studies, as well as gain skills to be successful in the global community of the 21st century. Our students do not just meet, but exceed grade level expectations and become critical thinkers as they engage with dynamic teaching that makes them self-motivated, competent, and lifelong learners.

Executive Director Message 06/15/20

As we depart for summer, likely to be so different than the summers we have come to know, I want to confirm the commitment we commonly share to provide an exceptional education for our OPA students. Recent challenges and opportunities provided public schools, such as OPA, opportunity to reimagine the social space where we teach and learn. When our schools reopen in August, we hope the world and the community is healthier and safer for all. OPA will continue to provide timely communication throughout the summer. I look forward to a summer that restores our joy, dreams and visions.

Message to Staff and Families 6/5/2020

Like many of you, we have spent the past week reflecting on our OPA values and the principles and ideals that we want to instill in our students. It has been a week of pain, anger, uncertainty, and reflection for all of us. Given the gravity of what has happened and the outpouring of support and enormous call to action for social justice, we at OPA want to express our deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. It is imperative that we as educators embrace diversity and promote a welcoming, inclusive environment for all students, staff, and families.

OPA Update 4/3/2020

As we finish our second week of remote instruction and transition to a week of Spring Break, I want to thank everyone for their hard work, compassion, and flexibility over the past few weeks. As we look forward to the rest of the school year, it appears that remote learning will likely continue until summer. As many of you may be aware, both Governor Newsom and State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tony Thurmond, announced earlier this week that California Schools will likely remain closed through the end of the school year.
