Mr. Joseph W. Haney III is a real estate and tax attorney advising owners and developers in the acquisition and development of real property. He also has significant experience representing closely held and family businesses and advising clients on matters related to estate and succession planning related to these businesses.

For nine years, Mr. Haney was an adjunct lecturer at California State University, Fullerton where he taught in the university’s graduate tax program. 

Mr. Haney is also active in historic preservation. He is a founding board member of Preserve Orange County, a non-profit organization that works through education and advocacy to promote conservation of Orange County’s architectural and cultural heritage. 

Mr. Haney is married with three children and lives in Mission Viejo. 

Mr. Raymond Jackson is a U.S. Coast Guard veteran with more than 20 years of professional and executive-level experience. He joins the Oxford Preparatory Academy Board of Directors with the stated objective of helping OPA thrive!

During his years in the Coast Guard, Raymond was part of the Waterways Management (WAM) team tasked with annually reviewing waterway usage and specifically identifying opportunities to improve safety. Facilitating federal and local municipality cooperation was a key ingredient to the very successful WAM program.

Raymond received his MBA from Pepperdine University. During his time here, he nurtured his passion for managerial accounting with a specific interest in KPIs and performance metrics. As the Founder and President of a premier integration service provider, Raymond has extensive experience building and developing high performing teams, developing strategic relationships, and implementing result-focused solutions.

Mr. Jackson also brings a great deal of construction management experience gained while working with some of the most well-known builders in the United States. Raymond holds many professional licenses in both California and Texas.

In addition to OPA, Raymond serves on his local Community Association Board of Directors in Laguna Hills, as well as a Commercial Property Owners Association in Irvine.

Mrs. Travis has more than two decades of success in providing leadership and guidance to non-profit institutions.

She has significant experience with strategic planning, board governance, and the implementation of policies and programs. She is also a seasoned major gift fundraiser and is a strong steward for fiscal responsibility.

In joining the board, Mrs. Travis will apply her expertise to help OPA improve, prosper, and grow in fulfilling its educational mission. As the parent of three children at the Saddleback Valley campus in Lake Forest, she is passionate about OPA’s future.

Mrs. Travis has a Master’s Degree in Leadership Development from Chapman University and Bachelor’s Degrees in Political Science and International Relations from Pepperdine University.

Mrs. Agarwal is currently a stay-at-home mother of two children. She brings extensive knowledge of OPA from a parent volunteer perspective and also over ten years of professional work experience. Mrs. Agarwal worked professionally in project management, consulting and finance roles at large multinational companies such as Ikea, Deloitte Consulting and Allergan, Inc. In her last role at Allergan, Inc. she was the Head of Finance for the IT department.

Mrs. Agarwal has been a highly engaged and active volunteer at the OPA South Orange county campus for nine years. Her most recent role was Honour Society Vice-President of Finance and Operations. She is passionate about OPA and ensuring it provides a best in class educational experience for students and providing the tools necessary for teachers to prosper. Mrs. Agarwal lives in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. with her husband of eighteen years and their two children. Mrs. Agarwal’s son is an alumnus of OPA SOC and her daughter is in sixth grade at the South Orange County Campus.

Mrs. Agarwal has a Bachelor’s in Business Management from California State University, Fullerton.

Dr. Smith is an educational professional currently working on K-16 career pathway partnership initiatives at Long Beach Unified School District. She brings over 10 years of experience in education and workforce development, having worked in both K-12 and postsecondary environments. Her career includes program design and implementation in the areas of career technical education, early college programming, employment transition services, student outreach, and work-based learning. Her recent endeavors center on expanding cross-sector collaborations to produce scalable and sustainable career pathways for K-16 students. Dr. Smith also has extensive grant development and project management experience, having successfully acquired and implemented more than $20 million in federal, state, and private educational grant projects.  

Continuously learning and pursuing additional education is important to Dr. Smith. She has earned a B.S. in Business Marketing from Sonoma State University, a M.A. in Higher Education Administration and

Leadership from Adams State University, and an Ed.D. in Adult Learning and Leadership from Kansas State University. 

Dr. Smith lives with her husband and son in Mission Viejo and is excited to contribute to the local educational system through service on the OPA board. She is committed to advancing the OPA mission and supporting continued organizational and student success.

Paul Kagoo is currently the Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Western Digital Corporation. Prior to this, he served in management roles with McKinsey & Co. and at Englekirk Structural Engineers. He is a registered Structural and Civil Engineer in California and is also a United States Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional. He has taught undergraduate students at Cal Poly Pomona and also volunteers at the Paul Merage School of Business at UCI. He is a proven team leader and capable of driving change through complex, data- based problem solving to create effective solutions for business growth.

Born and raised in India, Paul received his Bachelor’s Degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and then moved to Irvine where he received his Master of Science from the University of California, Irvine. He has an MBA from INSEAD Business School. He feels fortunate to have spent time living on three difference continents as it has significantly shaped his world vision.

Passionate about volunteering, Paul has served as a pro bono consultant with the Orange County Community Foundation, as a Catholic detention ministry volunteer for the Orange County Detention Center, as well as a variety of other community volunteer roles. He already serves on the Board of the Orange County Community Foundation and on the advisory board of the Executive MBA program at Leavy School of Business at Santa Clara University.

Paul lives with his wife Terrina and 8-year old son Noel in Foothill Ranch. Noel is currently studying at the South Orange County Campus of OPA. Paul joins the board excited to partner with the current board and staff to shepherd OPA to its next frontier of growth responsibly but aspirationally.
