Happy Thanksgiving

November 19, 2021

Dear OPA Families and Staff,

I want to wish everyone a happy and relaxing Thanksgiving Holiday. It has been a very exciting first trimester at OPA, and I know everyone is ready for a bit of a break with family and friends. After the break, we have just three weeks until winter break, and this time is full of activities at both of our campuses, so please make sure to review all messages from your champion’s professors and chancellor so you don’t miss anything.

We are currently working on the student calendar for the 2022-2023 school year, which will be approved at our December 16, 2021, Board of Directors meeting. Please take a minute to provide feedback on the possible holiday break schedules on our calendar survey. We have had some requests to possibly alter our current holiday schedule next year to better align with other schools in the area. However, we want everyone’s feedback before making any changes.

For those who have not already done so, I encourage you to take our 2021-2022 Educational Partners Survey. Your feedback is very important to us, as it provides valuable information to help us continue to make OPA a model educational organization. This survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Please complete the survey only once. If you have multiple students, select all grade levels and programs that apply. The information gained from the survey results will help inform our school site decisions, goals, and action plans. This survey will remain open until November 27, 2021.

As we head into the Thanksgiving break, I want to sincerely thank our OPA community for your incredible dedication and support of our OPA champions. Our parents and families provide incredible support and partnerships and allow us the pleasure of working with your children each day. The amazing teachers and support staff at our schools consistently provide exceptional learning experiences for our Champions and ensure that all their needs are met, helping them each become well rounded, successful scholars.

Thank you for everything you do for our Champions! Please stay safe and healthy and have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
