Dear OPA Families and Staff,
Thank you for another great week OPA! This week we all witnessed several important milestones as we watched our democracy in action through the peaceful transfer of power to a new president. Our country now has its first woman Vice President, our first African American Vice President, and our first South Asian Vice President. I am so proud to be part of this great nation, where so many more children now can see a bit of themselves in our national leadership.
We want to also thank everyone who attended our Town Hall meeting last night. All of your comments and input, along with guidance from local and state health officials, current COVID-19 data, and input from our LCAP stakeholder survey will help us to determine the best timeline for returning to in person instruction. If you missed the Town Hall meeting last night, there is a link to the recording on our webpage. Please join us for our next OPA Board of Directors meeting, Thursday, January 28th. The agenda for the meeting will be posted on all of our OPA websites on Monday, January 25th. During this meeting we will present our timeline for returning to in-person instruction.
Next Monday also begins School Choice week. Our Champions have been creating videos to celebrate OPA and school choice which I can’t wait to start sharing with you all. We are so lucky to be part of such an amazing OPA community, and it is because of all of our staff, students, and families who have made the choice to join OPA, that our schools are so exceptional.
If you have not done so already, please complete our 2020-2021 LCAP stakeholder survey by January 29th. Your feedback is very important to us, as it provides valuable information to help us continue to make OPA a model educational organization. This survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Please complete the survey only once. If you have multiple students, select all grade levels and programs that apply. The information gained from the survey results will help inform our school site decisions, goals, and action plans.
We wish you all a safe and relaxing weekend. Happy Friday OPA!
